Q: Is this a resort?
A: No, this is a residential house built as a beach getaway for family and friends. The homeowner love to share their family vacation house to their family/relatives and friends.
Q: Are parties allowed?
A: Parties, functions, loud gatherings, unruly & noisy people, photoshoots, and commercial activities/events are strictly not allowed.
Q: What is the maximum number of people allowed in the property?
A: There are 6 bedrooms available that can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests.
Q: Are there any other fees we should be aware of?
A: There are no fees/penalties if all the house rules and the subdivision regulations are complied with. Guests who do not abide by the Tali subdivision’s regulations may be meted penalties ranging from PhP1,500 to PhP15,000. For example, illegal parking are fined up to PhP1,500 per vehicle, littering in the beaches & leaving garbage in public areas are fined up to PhP2,500 per instance, and loud noise/public disturbance are fined from PhP5,000 to PhP15,000 & will be asked to leave the subdivision.
Q: How do we avoid these fines?
A: All guests are required to abide by the house rules and the regulations of the subdivision. There is also a sign posted in the Main Beach listing the subdivision’s beach rules and regulations (see: http://bit.ly/2lBOZGg). Do not park along the streets of Tali Beach. Take all trash with you when visiting other sites in Tali -- you can leave your trash in the trash bins inside our property.
Q: Can we bring food/drinks?
A: All guests are requested to bring their food and drinks. The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner stove, fridge, microwave, basic cookware & utensils. There is a small outdoor charcoal grill available for use (guests should bring charcoal).
Q: How far are the nearest supermarket and restaurants?
A: There is an SM Savemore, a Waltermart mini-mall, the Nasugbu town market (‘palengke’), a couple of 24-hour convenient stores, and several restaurants in the Nasugbu town proper -- around a 20 minute drive from Tali Beach.
Q: Do you provide drinking water?
A: Drinking water is not provided. There are a few of groceries and 24-hour convenient stores in the Nasugbu town proper where you can buy water, and also ice. A neighbor sells 5-gallon drinking water. There is a hot/cold water dispenser in the kitchen area of the main house.
Q: Which rooms will we use? Are they air-conditioned?
A: Rooms are opened and assigned based on
guests’ headcount and capacities of each room. All of bedrooms are
air-conditioned. Please be aware that Room #1 is not available for use.
Q: What are the capacities of your rooms?
A: Here are the bed configurations and capacities of the rooms:
- Room A (1st floor): 1 king bed, 1 single bed [4pax capacity; shared bathroom with Room B]
- Room B (1st floor): 1 twin bed, 1 single bed [3pax capacity; shared bathroom with Room A]
- Room C (2nd floor): 1 queen bed, 1 single foam mattress [3pax capacity; shared restroom with Room D]
- Room D (2nd floor): 1 queen bed, 1 single bed [3pax capacity; shared restroom with Room C].
- Room #2: 1 queen bed, double-deck with 2 single beds [4pax capacity; with own bathroom]
- Room #3: double deck with 1 queen and 1 single beds [3pax capacity; with own mini-bathroom]
Q: Will family and friends have exclusive use of the house during their stay?
A: You will be the host’s only guests in the property. Caretakers stay in-house in a separate building just behind the main house and the hosts stay in their designated reserved rooms.
Q: Are linens provided? Do you provide extra mattresses and linens?
A: Yes, bed sheets, blankets, and pillow cases are provided for.
Q: Do you provide toiletries and towels?
A: All guests are required to bring their own toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, etc.) and bath/beach towels as none are provided.
Q: Do you have internet/wifi? How’s the cellular signal in your area?
A: There is no internet/wifi in the
property. Globe and Smart voice/data signal are ok, especially
outdoors.
Q: Can I bring my pet along?
A: Pets are welcomed but are not allowed on [a] the 2nd floor of the main house, [b] inside all bedrooms except for Rooms A and B (both located on the 1st floor of the main house), and [c] in the swimming pool. They must be on leash when outside the house. Guests are requested to clean up after their pets.
Q. Are there dogs and cats in the property?
A. The caretakers have three pet dogs that serve as the property's watch dogs. Just let the caretakers know if you would like them on leash. There are also some cats (not the property’s) that roam around the property/village.
Q: Can the caretakers help us with washing the dishes and cleaning?
A: The caretaker’s job is mainly to clean, disinfect, and prepare the house for guests, and provide any assistance if guests have concerns regarding the rooms and facilities. If you would like them to help you out with washing the dishes and cleaning, you can hire one or two of the caretakers by letting them know.
Q: Where exactly is Tali Beach?
A: Tali Beach is in Nasugbu, Batangas which is around a 3 hour drive from Metro Manila. GPS Coordinates are 14°07'26.4"N 120°36'44.6"E.
Q: Are we allowed to bring buses, coasters, or jeepneys?
A: Buses, vehicles with over 22-passenger seating capacity, and jeepneys are strictly not allowed inside the subdivision.
Q: How many parking spaces are available for us?
A: There are parking spaces inside the property for about 5 or 6 cars. Parking along the street is strictly prohibited by the subdivision (illegal parking is fined PhP1,500 per vehicle).
Q: Is the beach swimmable?
A: The beach in front of the house is swimmable especially during mid to high tide. There is an area free of rocks and corals (which is evident in this aerial photo of the beachfront: http://bit.ly/2sSWqfA). The currents are generally not that strong during good weather as the cove is surrounded by a breakwater.
Q: Up to what time can we use the pool?
A: You can use the pool during your whole stay except when it is closed for maintenance.
Q: Is there a lifeguard at the beach and swimming pool?
A: There is no lifeguard in the beach and swimming pool. Always swim with a buddy; do not allow anyone to swim alone. Do not swim under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Children and elderly persons should always be closely supervised. Guests, especially young children, are urged to bring and use personal flotation devices (such as life vests) when swimming. Diving or jumping in the pool is not allowed. Swimming and other activities are entirely at the guests’ own risk. The owners/management of the house shall not be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that may occur while on their premises.
Q: What is the subdivision’s noise policy?
A: Guests are required to keep noise & voices down and to completely shut off all sound systems (including karaoke/videoke machines) from 9:00PM to 8:00AM and during Tali Beach siesta hours of 1:00PM to 3:00PM. Loud noise and rowdy guests are fined PhP5,000 to PhP15,000, and will be asked to leave the subdivision.
Q: Do we really have to be quiet by 9:00PM?
A: Yes, all guests must strictly adhere to the subdivision’s noise regulations. Guests are required to keep voice/noise down and to completely shut off music/sound systems from 9:00PM to 8:00AM and from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. The house is inside a very private subdivision which pride itself with its serenity and peacefulness. The guards are very strict with the implementation of the noise control regulations & their imposition of applicable fines & penalties, including being removed from the subdivision.
Q: Do you have a safe or vault where we can keep our valuables?
A: The house does not have safes. Please do not leave your valuables such as cash, electronics, and jewelries unattended. The owners/management and caretakers will not be liable for any loss and will not be responsible for articles left behind.
Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: Smoking is allowed in open spaces but is not permitted indoors. A minimum of PhP2,500 fine will be collected if cigarette smoking is detected inside the house.
Q: Can we have a bonfire?
A: Bonfires are not allowed anywhere in Tali Beach.
Q: What happens if there is a power outage? Is there a power generator?
A: There is a small power generator on standby in the event of a power outage. During power outages and while power is supplied by the generator, guests may use the following: [a] lights, [b] electric fans, and [c] laptops & mobile phone chargers. Please do not use high wattage appliances like air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave, and bathroom water heater. Overloading the generator will damage the generator and electrical appliances. The generator also cannot run continuously over a long period of time; it must be shut off after 4 hours of use and be allowed to rest for at least 1 hour.
